What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Procedure
The first phase involves removing fat from other areas of the body through liposuction. The areas we generally remove fat from are the stomach, inner thighs, and lower back (or what some refer to as “love handles”), because these areas typically contain the most excess fat. Fat can be removed from other areas of the body as long as it contains enough excess fat to transfer.
After the fat is “harvested” from the liposuction, it goes through a purification process that removes tissues, fluids and impurities. Then the fat is injected back into your buttocks. Dr. Buchanan will inject the fat into specific areas that will give you a more sculpted, rounder and larger buttocks in order to achieve your desired results.
What Does Recovery Look Like?
We recommend taking at least 1-2 weeks off of work in order to rest and heal. Compression garments are usually worn for up to six weeks post-operation in order to control swelling, heal bruising, and to tighten loose skin. We also ask that you avoid sitting for at least two weeks post-surgery. Sitting for too long can increase the chance of adverse side effects such as indentations and defective shaping as well as loss of grafted fat from compression injury.
Final results are visible approximately three months post-treatment, after the swelling has full abated and the bruises have healed.
Is a Brazilian Butt Lift Right For Me?
– You are between the age of 18 and 60
– You are at a healthy weight and have enough fat stores for the fat transfer
– You desire a more shapely, contoured and full rear end
– You have realistic expectations and goals for the outcome of your procedure
– You are in good health overall and don’t smoke. This is a medical procedure that requires time to recover and heal. If you suffer from a chronic medical condition, it’s best to speak to your primary care physician to see if this procedure is right for you. If you smoke, most plastic surgeons will ask that you stop smoking entirely, or stop smoking six weeks prior to your procedure, as well as six weeks post-operation.
If you believe you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift based on the qualifications outlined above, we suggest you schedule a consultation with Dr. Buchanan to discuss the possibility of a butt augmentation and the added benefits it could bring to your life.
How Much Does a Brazilian Butt Lift Cost?
– Anesthesia fees
– Operating room costs
– Blood or additional medical testing
– Compression garments for post-surgery
– Prescriptions
– Miscellaneous expenses, such as surgeon’s fees
Additionally, the cost of the procedure can be affected by the following circumstances:
– The amount of experience and overall reputation of your surgeon. You’ll find that surgeon’s with many years of experience, or that are highly regarded, will typically cost more.
– The techniques the surgeon uses for the procedure and the complexity of the case.
– Where your surgeon’s practice is located. Typically, larger cities have higher operational costs and are more expensive.
If you’ve considered a Brazilian butt lift, but feel like you are limited financially, speak to Dr. Buchanan or one of the VIVIFY staff members about financing options. We do our best to work with each patient by offering financing plans to help her achieve her surgical goals.
