What is a Brow Lift?
A brow lift is often combined with other procedures, such as a facelift or eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).
How Can I Benefit From a Brow Lift
In addition to targeting wrinkles, a brow lift can also:
– Raise the eyebrows, providing a more youthful appearance and making you look more awake
– Tighten loose skin that may have started to droop over the brow
– Smooth out the vertical crease between eyebrows
– Provide long term results, up to 10-15 years after just one procedure
If you think you’re ready to experience the benefits of a brow lift, we suggest you schedule a consultation with Dr. Buchanan to discuss the possibility of a brow lift and the many added benefits it could bring to your life.
What Will My Recovery Look Like?
We usually suggest a minimum of two weeks off of work in order to rest and heal. If your brow lift was combined with another procedure, such as eyelid surgery, you should allow for more time off.
During this time of healing, it is normal to experience swelling, bruising, itching and even some numbness in the forehead area. These symptoms will usually diminish within the first two weeks of post-operative recovery and can be mitigated with cold compresses and medication prescribed by Dr. Buchanan prior to your surgery.
How Long Will My Results Last?
In order to prolong your results, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and daily practices to delay the natural aging process. Proper sun protection, a daily skincare regimen, and diet and exercise are all lifestyle habits that help keep signs of aging at bay.
How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost?
The cost of a brow lift surgery varies significantly depending on the complexity of your case and the geographic location of where the surgery is performed. It’s also important to note that the procedure amount does not reflect additional surgery costs, including:
– Anesthesia fees
– Operating room costs
– Blood or additional medical testing
– Compression garments for post-surgery
– Prescriptions
– Miscellaneous expenses, such as surgeon’s fees
Additionally, the cost of the procedure can be affected by the following circumstances:
– The amount of experience and overall reputation of your surgeon. You’ll find that surgeon’s with many years of experience, or that are highly regarded, will typically cost more.
– The techniques the surgeon uses for the procedure and the complexity of the case.
– Where your surgeon’s practice is located. Typically, larger cities have higher operational costs and are more expensive.
If you’ve considered a brow lift, but feel like you are limited financially, speak to Dr. Buchanan or one of the VIVIFY staff members about financing options. We do our best to work with each patient by offering financing plans to help her achieve her surgical goals.
Will Insurance Cover My Brow Lift?
Finding the Right Plastic Surgeon
During your search for a potential plastic surgeon, you should only consider a surgeon who is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Board-certified surgeons spend a minimum of 6-8 years in training after medical school to ensure that they are well-trained in both aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
