Jet-Set Beauty: VIVIFY Plastic Surgery's Guide

Step One: Initial Consultation

  • Contact Form Submission: Start by completing our consultation form on our website. Share your details, medical history, and the procedure you're interested in.
  • Phone Call: One of our experienced patient care coordinators will contact you to discuss your surgical goals and prepare you for your virtual consultation.
  • Photo Submission: You may be asked to submit clear photos of the area you want to address, which helps us with a preliminary assessment.
  • Virtual Consultation: Your patient care coordinator will schedule a virtual meeting with Dr. Buchanan to discuss your goals, answer any questions, and determine if you’re a good candidate for the procedure.

Step Two: Customized Treatment Plan

  • Customized Plan: Based on your virtual consultation, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that best serves your surgical goals.
  • Detailed Estimate: Receive a detailed cost estimate, including facility and anesthesia fees.
  • Surgery Expectations: Receive information about the procedure, potential medical clearance, recovery, and aftercare.

Step Three: Flexible Scheduling

  • Choose a Date: Once you decide to proceed, our patient care coordinator will help you choose a convenient surgery date that works with your schedule.
  • Pre-Operative Instructions: To prepare for your surgery, you'll receive a comprehensive set of pre-operative instructions via email. You will also choose a date for your in-person pre-op with Dr. Buchanan.

Step Four: Day of Surgery

  • Arrival: You will be scheduled a time to arrive at our on-site surgery center on the morning of your surgery.
  • Pre-Surgery Meeting: Before surgery, you will meet with your surgical team, Dr. Buchanan, and the anesthesiologist to review your plan.

Step Five: Recovery Stay

  • Transportation: You must have a family member, friend, or nursing service pick you up from our surgery center and review your discharge instructions. Our staff will help coordinate concierge nursing services by request.
  • The First 24: Someone must stay with you for the first 24 hours after surgery.
  • Recovery Stay: Depending on your procedure, plan to stay in Tampa for at least 7-14 days (about two weeks) post-surgery for follow-up appointments and initial recovery.
  • Follow-Up Appointments: Attend scheduled follow-up appointments in person or virtually as needed to ensure proper healing.

Dr. Buchanan’s (an admitted foodie) Restaurant Picks

We are huge fans of Japanese food, and Tampa is now lucky enough to have TWO Michelin-starred Omakase-style Japanese restaurants.

If you want an unparalleled high-end, adventurous dining experience, check out Koya (Dr. Buchanan’s favorite restaurant) and Kosen.

If you're going to do Japanese but in a more casual atmosphere, the chef at Koya has another restaurant called Noble Rice.

Looking for a more old-school Tampa steakhouse vibe? There is no question that the king of that category is Bern’s.

a Tampa institution since 1956—one of the largest wine collections in the world and in-house dry-aged steaks. The decor cannot be beat. Make early reservations, and don’t miss a trip to the dessert room.

Can’t score a table at Bern’s? The dining and decor at Charley’s is a close second!

Italian food more your speed? Look no further than our very own Michelin-starred Italian spot, Rocca.

It’s all about the mozzarella cart! If you can’t snag the reservation or want something a little more casual, check out Olivia.

On the hunt for brunch? Our top picks would be Oxford Exchange, Psomi, and On Swann.

Experience the Cuban-inspired side of Tampa cuisine and snag a Cuban sandwich or a pasty at La Segunda.
