How Newsweek's America's Best Plastic Surgeons List Works
Newsweek partners with the research firm Statista to survey thousands of medical experts on the leading plastic surgeons in their state, then combines those recommendation scores with quality assessments and board certification data to build the annual rankings. Surgeons can be recognized across six procedure categories:
- Breast Augmentation
- Facelift
- Liposuction
- Rhinoplasty
- Tummy Tuck
- Eyelid Surgery
Being named in even one category is a meaningful peer and patient recognition. Being named in five of the six, as only four Florida surgeons were in 2026, is rare.
Dallas Buchanan, MD, FACS — Tampa
Dr. Dallas Buchanan of VIVIFY Plastic Surgery was recognized in five of Newsweek's six categories. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, where he also serves on the Emerging Trends Committee.
